the West University Area Democratic Club
The club was formed in June 2002 to support the Democratic Party at all levels of government. Meetings have been held at peoples’ homes, a grocery store, a deli, and local community centers during the life of the club. Membership is open to all Democrats or those interested in the Democratic Party and its principles. We meet monthly - and communicate frequently - for the purpose of sharing ideas, becoming more educated about issues and candidates, working on projects that ensure Democrats are elected into public office and serving the community. The club also provides a means of influencing the Democratic Party so that it may continue its historic role as a promoter of social justice, and representative of the needs of all the people at the state, local and national levels.
