Come hear Sara McGee, candidate for House District 132, talk about how she and other activists built a coalition of younger and more diverse voters that led to a stronger turnout that changed a the Cy-Fair school board back to what it should be - a group responsible for education and not political culture wars. They built a professional organization of people including pastors and the local democratic club, among others, united for the same goal.

This is a lesson on what you can do to change situations such as we find ourselves in today in Texas and in the US. The coalition’s success was even mentioned by Senator Amy Klobuchar as part of the keynote address at the Harris County Democratic Party JJR Gala earlier this year.
